Peace Ya’ll. Call me “L.”

Laneka Leatutufu is the Founder and CEO of Urban Practitioner, LLC, where she facilitates sound bath meditations with the primary focus on the mental and spiritual well-being of Black and Indigenous folks.

Laneka’s presence in the sound bath (online) world has granted her opportunities to perform for Black Prana Yoga Magazine, The University of Alabama at Birmingham (with eMotion Therapy), Rutgers University (with Stacked Yoga), Arts at Google, MOCA (Museum of Children Arts-Oakland), Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY), YMCA (Bayview), and other dope places ranging from Modish Mane Hair Shop (a sanctuary for women) to private retreats.

Laneka’s sound baths are curated to create lightened spaces that encourage rest, relaxation, and mental calm. She says, “We are constantly doing, but let’s CHOOSE to be. To be still, to breathe, to listen to our bodies, to prioritize ourselves. To turn our minds always from what is not and no longer serving us!”

Laneka’s sound bath titled, ‘Release that Sh*t!’ was intentionally created to invite her listeners to show up as their authentic selves in a laidback environment where code-switching is thrown out the window and being yourself is the vibe.

Outside of playing healing instruments, Laneka is a juvenile deputy probation officer, self-published children’s book author, and mother. She considers her son to be her master teacher.

Get ready to kick back, relax and leave it all on your mat!

If you haven’t experienced a sound bath, it’s a meditation paired with sound healing instruments. At least, that’s my definition.

Sound baths help balance the body’s chakras through sound wave vibrations and can bring relaxation, release blocked energy, and bring mental calm to your entire being.

My sound baths are aimed at intentionally creating authentic, diverse, inclusive, accessible spaces for people to breathe and just be.

I offer private, group, and virtual sound baths .

Stay tuned into offerings!
